Rihanna has become one of music's most popular artists. Born in Barbados, she grew up to love reggae and started singing as a child. As a way to get away from the tensions within her family, as well as her parents' constant fights and arguments, she began to sing. She formed a musical group when she was still in high school and got an opportunity to an audition with music producer Evan Rodgers who was highly impressed by the teenager's talents. The producer requested that the teenager be relocated to New York and pursue a performing career that was full-time. Rihanna jumped at the chance to take it. The debut album of Rihanna quickly became a hit and she was hailed as a music sensation. Rihanna was loved by the youth for her peppy dance music, which was a hit. The result was Rihanna becoming a director. As a talented young woman Rihanna is regarded as a teenage idol. Rihanna uses her fame for good and actively supports several organizations.
